Empire 598 Troubadour turntable acquired from the family of the original owner. I gave this unit a quick test and the platter spins and the lamp illuminates. That is the extent of my testing. Although this turntable needs some tlc, the motor is strong and the pulley spins smoothly and steadily. Observed flaws: No cartridge or needle, top cover side wood is warped (picture #21) and brackets dont line up with cabinet, tone arm RCA plug in cable is missing, belt is stretched out, some tarnish here and there, a few marks on the cabinet. Thats the story with this quality turntable. Motor runs strong and platter spins with tone arm lamp illuminating. Cosmetic issues noted above.
