Came to us inside the plastic tube pictured with an instruction sheet. *4/17/24* CONDITION: Being sold as is, untested and I dont know if the needle is still good! It came to us with the pictured cover over the stylus/needle, but the needle has some white buildup on it and dont know if its still usable. There is a film on the cartridge and stylus cover. Instruction sheet is creased from being stored folded. Will come as shown, so please see photos! SHIPPING: Free shipping to the US. Empire 2000 E/III Cartridge w/ New Pfanstiehl .3 x .7 Mil Elliptical Stylus - Z This listing is for one used Empire 2000 E/III cartridge. The cartridge has been “checked” with an Ohmmeter & the readings are posted in two of the photos. The readings are very close & have a difference of less than 1.5%. The included stylus is a new, Pfanstiehl “replacement” for an Empire S2000E Series. It has a .3 x .7 mil elliptical tip & the tracking force is ¾ ~ 1½ grams. Also included are the original cartridge container, an isolator/spacer, & the original mounting hardware. Empire 2000 E/III cartridge specifications: (with original stylus) Frequency response: 5 ~ 35 kHz Channel separation: 35 dB Tracking force: ½ ~ 1½ grams Stylus type: “nude”.2 x .7 mil elliptical diamond Replacement stylus: S2000E/III Since the cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter, the stylus is new, & this combination have been visually “checked” there are NO returns or refunds. This item will require an adults’ signature for delivery. All of the cartridge/stylus combinations I sell are sold AS IS - in working condition. If you have an issue with sibilance, it probably means that the cartridge/stylus is not a good match for your tonearm. Not that there is anything defective with this cartridge or stylus. Note: The cantilever (the thin silver tube which the stylus tip is mounted to) is the fragile part of the stylus assembly. The stylus needs to be handled carefully. If the buyer breaks or bends the cantilever when un-packaging, inserting the stylus assembly into the cartridge, or handling the cartridge once the stylus is mounted, I will not be held responsible. This includes while mounting the cartridge to your headshell. It is best to mount your cartridge somewhat loosely first. Then install the stylus. Once the stylus is mounted into the cartridge, adjust the cartridge for the correct overhang for your particular turntable. It is 0.3x0.7 mi bonded elliptical, examined with 20x and 100x magnification. It shows no signs of wear. It has been thoroughly inspected, tested, and listen tested. It has been evaluated with computer analysis. It tracks well and sounds very good. Nuts, bolts, and other mounting hardware are not included with this item. However, I do have an assortment of fasteners, and I may be able to include some at no additional cost. Message me with any questions or comments. Combined shipping is OK. No returns please.
