Ich verkaufe meinen Emotiva XSP-1 Gen. 2 Vorverstärker aus 1. Hand, da ich nach Umzug und Kindern auf ein kleineres System umgestiegen bin. Der Preamp ist super erhalten, hat kaum Gebrauchsspuren und funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Fernbedienung wurde kaum benutzt, da ich eine Logitec Systemfernbedienung verwendet habe. Ich habe das Gerät im August 2014 direkt bei Emotiva gekauft. Rechnung kann auf Wunsch vorgelegt werden. Mit dabei ist das abgebildete Zubehör, auch ein Satz silberne Frontblenden zur optischen Integration in ein System der ersten Generation. Außerdem liegen einige Schaltpläne bei. Originalverpackung ist vorhanden und wird für den Versand verwendet. Ein schönes Feature ist die interne aktive Frequenzweiche, mit dem sich (mit Hilfe einer 4-Kanal-Enstufe) ein 2.2-Stereo-Setup erstellen lässt bei dem die Satelliten-Lautsprecher im Bassbereich entlastet werden. Das war damals auch mein Haupt-Kaufgrund. WICHTIG!! DER BIETER ERKLÄRT SICH MIT DEM FOLGENDEN EINVERSTANDEN! Dieses Gerät wurde von mir modifiziert. Ich bin Ingenieur der Elektrotechnik und habe mir Gedanken gemacht, was und wie ich hier vornehme. Das Gerät hat einen Subsonicfilter 22Hz mit 18dB/Okt. nachgerüstet bekommen und zwar zwischen dem internen Phono-Vorverstärker und der Eingangs-Relaisplatine. Somit wird nur das Phono-Signal entsprechend hochpassgefiltert, alle anderen Eingänge sind von der Filterung NICHT betroffen. Ich habe dazu eine OPAMP-Schaltung von Elliott Sound Products verwendet und nur hochwertige Komponenten verbaut: MOX-Widerstände, Panasonic FC Elkos, WIMA Fokos sowie zwei LME49710 Opamps. Die komplette Doku der Nachrüstung liegt in Papierform bei. Die Mehrbelastung des internen Netzteils ist dabei zu vernachlässigen angesichts der Gesamtzahl der verbauten Opamps im Gerät - ich konnte auch keine gravierende Temperaturerhöhung der Linearregler feststellen. Bitte nehmen Sie zur Kenntnis, dass ich aus Zeitgründen diese Modifikation NICHT wieder rückbauen möchte, denn ohne Ruhe (!) dafür, macht man der Erfahrung nach mehr kaputt als einem lieb ist. Hinweis: Der interne Phono-Preamp ist an sich durchaus brauchbar und basiert auf einem LT1115, allerdings wurden hier ab Werk u.a. SMD-Keramik-Kondensatoren verbaut, die man wegen des Mikrofonie-Effekts in solchen Schaltungen eigentlich vermeidet. The Emotive XSP-1 Gen 2 is a solid state stereo preamplifier with a fully balanced circuit design. There are two sets of balanced inputs, four sets of unbalanced inputs, one set of balanced main outputs, one set of unbalanced main outputs, one phono input (mm and mc with user-configurable cartridge loading), one external processor loop, and support for both stereo subwoofers and a summed mono subwoofer. Full analog bass management and independent, individually configurable, Linkwitz-Riley 12 dB/octave high-pass and low-pass filters for the main outputs are included. A high current headphone amplifier with independent level control and a remote control round out the package. All the bases are covered!The mechanic and electronic build quality of the XSP-1 is excellent. The vacuum fluorescent display is relatively large, dimmable and easy to read. The front panel controls have a positive feel and the rear connectors are gold plated and of fine quality. The remote works as expected and has a substantial feel. The box, packing, owners manual, five year warranty and 30 day trial period are typical for Emotiva - very solid.The sound of the XSP-1 is very, very good. The noise floor with balanced and unbalanced sources is as low as any equipment that Ive experienced. Music seems to rise out of total blackness. The phono section is very quiet, clean and has a smooth effortless quality with both the moving magnet and high output moving coil cartridges auditioned. The tonal signature is neutral unless the (!) very effective tone controls are brought into play. These adjustments allow subtle adjustments similar to the tilt controls on Quad amplifiers and can add that smidge of heft or sparkle lacking in some source material. Soundstage reproduction is true to the source material and benefits from the very low noise floor.The inclusion of a subwoofer crossover is an unusual and welcome feature in a stereo preamplifier. It adds much needed flexibility for those audiophiles incorporating subwoofer(s). With stereo and summed mono modes, adjustable crossover frequency and a defeatable high pass filter, the only options missing are adjustable filter slopes and subwoofer gain control. The best feature is that the crossover doesnt appear to degrade the sound in any way. Add in the processor loop and now there is a better way to integrate a home theater and high performance stereo and still have effective bass management.

RARE EMOTIVA XSP-1 Reference Stereo Preamplifier. Unit is in excellent cosmetic condition and from a pet-free and non-smoking home. Its been a part of my audiophile stereo setup for the last few years and performed flawlessly, paired with an Emotiva XPA2, driving a pair of Wilson WattPuppy 6s. Unfortunately, its stopped producing sound, otherwise other functions including remote and the display seem to be working fine. Its quite possibly an easy fix, but I just dont have time to figure it out so Im letting it go. Original MSRP of $1100 and it really is an awesome and versatile unit when fully working. The remote control is easily the best Ive ever come across. It feels like it was hewn from billet aluminium. The unit will be shipped to the contiguous 48 US states only for a flat $55 and signature required. Ps. I cant find the power cable so youll need to use your own. Sorry. :)
