It had the following upgrades at the factory; Rare silver rack face, full 100 upgrade plus more, including Kimber Kable, balanced connectors, carbon fiber blocks on the bottom, with large tip toe spikes. Balanced (xlr) connectors (this was actual additional to the 100 even, as a signature upgrade) Kimber Kable silver litz wiring, and the bypass caps on the output stage were upgraded to Mundorf and Solen. There was something else capacitor/component -wise, but I dont remember.Read picture with tag on box, it references this. I am selling my wonderful top-of-the- line Magnum Dynalab MD 109 tuner because I have just made many major (expensive!) upgrades to my system. The amplification upgrades are always on hand, whereas a tuner (or CD player or tape machine, e.g.) are only beneficial when you play them some of the time. Something had to go, and since the FM stations here are not stellar, this seemed like the obvious choice. I am keeping my Magnum Dynalab MD 100 tuner in the meantime. This tuner is a hybrid: part solid state, part tube, for that luscious warmth that is so often missing in solid state alone designs. It features a TRACC audio board, dual transformer power supply board which separates the control functions from the audio path, the TAB2006 control board, and the 108 (next model down) RF board. The 109 features premium Sifam signal and center tune meters and an LCD touch screen. The remote control stores your favorite stations in memory. The left meter moves when the tuner is turned off.I use a power strip and turn it off that way it dont move. 2 gentleman wrote me and they have the same tuner.They tell me theres do the same thing.1 wrote Magnum Dynalab and they told him.this is how it should be. They said there is a technical reason for the meters always moving. They said it dont affect the life of the meter.The other gentleman said he bought his Factory refurbished, and the meters mover right from the factory. Up for sale is my beautiful state of art high-end world reference tuner the one and only Magnum Dynalab MD 109t in the very hard to find beautiful silver color.This unit has very few hours of usage, works %100 flawlessly with no issues and looks like new except one small hair line scratch on the right side panel as you can see from my pictures. Very nice Dynalab tuner. Works correctly. I live in the country and most radio stations are over 30 miles away, this still pulls in many stations with an indoor antenna.
