This is a used Arcam DV79 CD & DVD player that DOES NOT work properly. It plays CDs (see photos #5 & 6), but not DVDs. It is cosmetically in good condition, but has a few marks on the top. please review all photos. When a DVD movie is inserted, the screen displays LOAD and after a few seconds BAD DISC appears or sometimes No DISC, even though the same DVDs are playable with other DVD players (see photos #7, 8 & 9). I used it only as a CD player on my test station until I decided to now sell it. This is when I tried the DVD function and discovered it does work. I never had the remote, so I am unable to dig into the menu settings. This is an auction for a Thomson 28 Black Diva TV that comes with a stand & a scart lead. Unfortunately I dont have the remote for the TV anymore but the input/AV & volume buttons on the TV are working. It hadnt been used for some time but I tested it out the other day playing a DVD using and it works fine both picture and sound wise. Overall, its in pretty good condition for its age as you can see from the photos - I guess the screen could do with a good clean but none of the marks on it were noticeable when I was watching the DVD. This is for collection only (I live in North London) - owing to having a dodgy knee at the moment, I wont be able to help get the TV out (sorry!), so youd need two people to remove it from my second floor flat (which is part of a converted house).
