Both are less than 1 year old and were used sparingly in a smoke/pet/child free home. I bought the DENAFRIPS direct from Vinshine Audio. Silver Denafrips Ares ii 12th-1Not all Ares are the same. Earlier models were stamped metal casing, this one is thick aluminum, and includes the I2S port.Earlier models, and the Enyo do not. I bought this Brand New from Vinshine Audio in April 2024. I liked it so much I upgraded to the Pontus II. It is in perfect condition, and includes the original box. Im the original owner of this fine analog sounding DAC,purchased directly from Vinshine Audio less than 2 years ago.I paid $1149. It is absolutely tip-top condition both cosmetically and functionally.FPGA firmware was updated on March 2023. Im parting with it since Ive recently converted my 2-way active system to minidsp. Perfect working condition. Comes with power cord. If you’ve read the reviews, you know this is a special DAC. It can easily be endgame or, for people like me, a gateway. There is a small stain or mark on the top of the unit that I didn’t notice until taking photos for the unit. It doesn’t affect the sound, of course. One of the pads on the bottom of the feet was replaced as well, which is not noticeable when right-side up. Will not ship in the original box, but it will be well packaged.
