Decware ZOB open baffle speakers featuring the FRX full range drivers (drivers alone list for $1,198, speakers are made custom and cost in the $4-5K range). Supremely transparent and holographic soundstage of an open baffle design having the flat response curve of a full range, light and fast moving speaker that has no crossover and very high efficiency (95dB) that can be driven very nicely by a low powered amplifier. Open baffles typically have underwhelming bass response so Ive paired these with two (!) Martin Logan Dynamo 300 subwoofers included in this sale!!! I purchased these speakers from Decware in July, 2021 to match an amp I also purchased from them. The amp was only 6 watts and I needed high efficiency speakers. Then I moved and never got around to listening to them. In the boxes they stayed for a year. I did finally get to test them out, and I must say, they are indeed incredible speakers. Detailed and dynamic, they create a soundstage that is impressive. The build quality is out of sight, and as you can tell from the pictures, these are near mint. The 5 way biding posts are some of the best constructed I have ever seen. Here is a quote from the Decware site: The DM945 was made possible by a unique 8-inch driver who does the nearly impossible: Have real bass in a cabinet with only 1/4 cubic foot of air space, and maintain an efficiency of 94dB at 1 watt. Finding one or the other is not terribly hard to do, but finding both is extremely rare...The response of this driver is smooth enough that no crossover is needed!
