As for the unit in general its a phase inverting no frills item. But then again, CJ is not about bells and whistles, its about sound quality. The PV12 gives a warm neutral sound. It doesnt flavor the sound in any exaggerated way that I can tell. It does offer excellent dynamics and clarity. What can I say? It just sounds right. If you find that this is not the case, check your tubes. I had one of the tubes go out and noticed it with a background noise.
