Up for sale is a great legendary Conrad Johnson PV-11 valve preamplifier with factory built in MM valve Phono !!!Unit is in great working used condition, all functions work perfectly. There is no hum, no buzz, all the switches work perfectly.Cosmetically the unit looks excellent. There is one small dent on left side edge, see pictures. also there is one very small tiny chip of paint on top of cover on right edge, again visible on the photos.Considering the unit is 30years old it looks awesome, shiny paint, all letters intact.Unit has nice USA General Electric 5751 tubes in phono and Ei 12AU7, these sound great.The preamp sounds great and has one of the best phono preamps Ive ever heard from a preamp. Connect the corresponding source components to these inputs. PH/AUX1: If the optional phono stage is installed, this input pro- vides the extra gain and RIAA equalization required for playback of LPs. Otherwise, this serves as an additional line-level input. EPL: This set of line-level inputs and outputs provides for connec- tion of an external signal processor (e.g. parametric equalizer, tone controls) or a tape recorder. Connect the EPL OUT to the input of your signal processor or tape recorder, and the EPL IN to the out- put of your processor or tape recorder. Alternatively, the EPL IN connection can be used as an additional line level input.
