Conrad Johnson LP70S amplifier. I bought this amp from Spearit Sound many years ago. It has been used sparingly, I’m guessing in total for about 500-700 hours. I moved it in and out, rotating it with other amplifiers as I changed speakers. It worked especially well with Coincident Super Eclipse III and Klipsch RP600. Fairly well with Celestion SL700SE. Not at all well suited with the Magnepan .7. I liked it with the John Blue No. 3. But, I would say, with a good source it could be spectacular with the Coincident speakers. Based on that, my feeling is it likes efficient to medium efficiency speakers. Every time I would make a change in front of the amplifier the change was obvious. I have used several preamps, and the amp worked best with a tube preamp. There are some scuffs here and there, particularly underneath, mostly excellent on the top side where I decided to make sure the screws were all tight. One screw got slightly damaged and I quit that exercise. I’m selling off several items as I’m now up there in age and it’s not so easy to move heavy items around. But this is a really good amp. Teflon caps and I think Vishay resistors, and beautiful casework. I can’t guarantee the tubes except from having listened to the amp for several hours.
