Bryston SP-3 in Silver/this is an earlier model S/N 43 it has been bulletproof when I upgraded to the 4K board. They replaced the power supply and main board to the unit about six years ago. I have never had any problems since. only selling because I have a Dedicated movie room and I want to upgrade to Dolby Atmos….on 5.1–7.1 channel material the SP3 is still state of the art sound. The SP 3 is known for its outstanding two channel music performance. I doubt you will hear a theater processor that sounds better on 2ch music than this even to this day!! if Atmos is not a priority for you and your a music lover this is the perfect preamp for you. You won’t be disappointed Brystons service is outstanding. I’ve never dealt with a better company. Included is a nice leather binder. Around 2018, Bryston updated the production model of their fabulous SP-3 with USBX 192/24 with DSD 2x and an HSR72Q HDMI Board. At this time, I upgraded my older SP-3 with a HSR 82.2 HDMI Board instead of the HSR72Q HDMI Board because I wanted to support DSD through HDMI. Copious information is available on AudioCircle if you would like to dig deeper. The factory upgrade also included the latest firmware from 2018. Later I updated the firmware to the current latest v2021.01 A 21 over the internet. The net result is this Bryston SP3 is up-to-date and competitive with their current production model. I downsized my audio set up (from surround to stereo in 2020) so this SP3 has been idle for the last four years. I finally have found the time to list the SP3 for sale. For the past few weeks, I have used the SP3 as my main preamp and confirmed that the HDMI, analog connections, USB DAC, volume control and remote all function well. Once set up the SP3 is a joy to use. I love the smooth volume control and the superb sound quality. Proper set up is complicated and the small screen makes the settings a bit cryptic, so I will not miss that. I have had two other surround sound processors and this Bryston is by far the one with the best sound quality. As the pictures show the SP3 is in excellent condition with no marks or scratches. Includes original box, protective packing, remote, owner’s manual and upgrade service ticket from Bryston. You will want to download the latest owner’s manual from Bryston as the original manual has been revised and expanded. The box was getting a bit frayed, so I encased the entire box in clear tape. Shipping is so expensive these days that I will not double box as that would only increase your cost. Also includes an upgraded power cable by Signal Cable (typically sells for $250 new but can be found for $100 used) which works much better than the OEM Bryston power cable that I cannot locate.

Bryston SP3 Date of production 2013 Week 42. This unit is from a long term Surround System install. Display indicates last Software update 2018. I have retested every display and setup operation. Everything appears to operate normally. And... it sounds fantastic. The previous owner has decided to downsize. Unit comes with the AC cord, manual, and the remote control.I do not have the original box but it will be carefully double boxed and insured. I will back up the sale of this unit for 30 days in case of any problems.
