This preamp has really wonderful sounding 2channel bypass mode that employs the same circuitry as the Bryston stand alone preamps. A nice way to save money on great sound. The remote is amazing as well! The unit was returned to Vermont in 2020 for service, replacing the display, and the toggle power switch. They made sure it was back in new condition for the next 20 years. I have not used the other surround modes on the unit, but you can find the specs and manual online. Bryston Sp1.7 Av Processor, Stereo Preamp. Comes in good working condition and with the original remote which is quite rare. If you want a Av processor for home cinema and Hifi, this is a great choice as it has no video circuitry to interfere when in 2 channel by pass mode. Essentially this is the equivalent of the Bryston Bp-25 Hifi preamp. For home cinema I used the 5.1 bypass mode with my Cxu Blu-ray player to great effect that’s also for sale. I don’t have the original packaging but will boxed up safely for transit.
