For sale is a Bowers & Wilkins PV1 subwoofer. After being moved, the unit was making a loud hum, which ended up being due to the input jack being broken (note how the input jack is more recessed than the jack next to it in the relevant photo). I opened the subwoofer and re-soldered the broken jack, and now it works great. I tested this unit with test tones and a couple of videos. Please refer to the pictures to get an idea of the condition of the unit. The unit has some scuffs and scratches, and there are some dents on the metal that covers the drivers. I don't believe this affects the sound, and I didn't hear anything odd when playing the test tones. I have a video of the unit playing a sweeping test tone; please contact and I can send it to you. Included are the subwoofer, an L adapter for the subwoofer cable (makes it easier to run the cable underneath the unit cleanly), and the power cord. Apologies for the high shipping costs. I expect to have to double box the item, and will have to get quite a bit of packing material in order to ship it securely.

Er unterstützte dabei zwei KEF Q5, die zwar selbst schon einen präzisen und kräftigen Bass hatten, jedoch nicht bis in die tiefsten Oktaven hinabreichten. Auch hohe Pegel ließen sich in dieser Kombination leichtfertig realisieren. Vorzugsweise wurde elektronische Musik (Techno, Jungle, Drum n‘ Base) und Jazz (diverse Trios) gehört. Der PV1 hat absolute Kontrolle über vielschichtige Basspassagen, spielt differenziert und analytisch. Dabei unterstreicht er den Realismus der Töne wie von z.B. Ray Brown an seinem Kontrabass, ebenso wie er die virtuosen Tieftonerlebnisse von Aphex Twin in dem bekannten Track „Flim“ nachfühlen lässt. Frequenzgang: ±3 dB, 21 Hz - 110 Hz (Quelle: HiFi-Wiki) Abzugeben ist dieses Schätzchen, da es zur Zeit wegen Umzugs und Verkleinerung des Hörraums nicht mehr genutzt wird. Da nicht absehbar ist, wann dieser Freudenspender wieder zum Einsatz käme, soll ihn lieber jemand anderes schätzen und lieben lernen. Der PV1 hat ein empfindliches mattes Aluminiumgehäuse, dass in diesem Fall bereits etwas Patina angesetzt hat, siehe Fotos. Um das Material zu schonen, wurde dieses Schmuckstück ausschließlich mit einem feuchten Microfasertuch abgewischt. Der Bowers & Wilkins PV1 wird ohne Stromkabel (EU-Stecker) angeboten. Inherited this. Hooked it up my Rega Queen Turntable via a Denon AVR-1513 Receiver and RCA Jacks - see video. Worked great, but did not test any of the other functions so I cant guarantee those. Molex socket is misaligned - see image of base. I dont use Molex, so did not test or try to realign. I was going to update the firmware and text other functions on the PC, but it works on a the old .NET Framework 3.5 and I didnt bother to see if I could get it working on current OS. Sounds and looks great. Cosmetically no damage. Front touch display works as intended. Amazing design and if youre here you know these are $2K new. Only comes with unit and power cable.
