Im offering a nice Vintage pair of BOSE 901, Series II, Direct Reflecting Speakers, with Their Original 901 Active Equalizer and Optional Tulip Floor Stands. The Original Instructions went missing, but a copy has been Down Loaded from the Bose Website. These have served me well for many years, and now its time to pass them on, for someone else to enjoy. They have been tested prior to this listing, and function as they should. They Look and Sound Excellent! Many years ago, a Front Driver, in one of the Speakers failed, and a replacement was sent to me by the Bose Corporation. The Cabinets are in Solid Condition, but are showing a few minor marks and scratches. The original Fabric on the Grills have a few pulls, wear marks, and slight stains. Not very noticeable from across the room, but can easily be replaced with newer material. The Floor Stands are also in Excellent Condition, but do have a few scuff marks on the painted surfaces. The Active Equalizer is in solid condition, and functions as it should. Its only issue is, that the Vinyl Veneer is lifting a little at some of the edges. One owner, all original, vintage pair of Bose 901 Series II speakers with walnut covers, Bose equalizer, original RCA patch cords (see last pic) for the EQ, manual for the speakers, manual for the equalizer and also 2 different original sales ads for the 901s. Fully tested and working. Each of the 18 speakers in both pair output sound, the equalizer works as it should, including the red light. We thought they had a nice warm sound to them when playing classic rock from the 60s and 70s. Even the 80s and 90s sounded nice as well. We had them up about the height of a kitchen table and spread apart. It will all depend on your listening room and where they are placed and how high and of course your music type and how loud you play them. What we noticed as bad: Everything we noticed is cosmetic.Some peeling on the edges in the sides, upper and lower (see pics near the end)One speaker has deeper scratches on the top (both tops are pictured)Some sun fading on the back cloth of one of the speakers (see pic 8)One of the walnut covers in the front on the smaller side is a little loose. We found from reading it is held on by double sided tape. This piece has been in our family for over 20 years and I remember my father turning it on for some speakers that we havent owned for many years.
