In der Regel ist bei allen High End Boxen eine bestimmte Freqenzgangkorrektur eingebaut, die nicht verändert werden kann. Aber Bose macht das technisch besser, nämlich aktiv. Das führt auch dazu, dass der Verstärker nicht mehr Arbeit hat, da er nicht gegen die Bauteile der Frequenzweiche arbeiten muss. So gestatten die 2 Regler an dem Bose EQ eine sanfte Anpassung an den Raum („über bedämpfter“ Raum braucht mehr Höhen, „über hallender“ weniger - ebenso wird im Bassbereich korrigierend eingegriffen) Hier ist die Regelung nicht auf die typischen Loudness-Frequenz eingestellt, sondern auf die typischen Problemfrequenzen der Wohnräume. Es sind eben keine üblichen Klangregler)
