Please see pics - this is playing beautifully as I write this, warm sweet sound, Im auditioning it with some Duke Ellington Indigos, Sinatra Come Swing With Me, Billie Holiday on Verve, Miles Davis Kind of Blue, classical piano by Horowitz etc..., very nice.... . I am a Bose 901 owner myself - I have had every series 1-VI ver 2. Series III and IV are, in terms of appearance and overall build quality, my personal favorites. To me every series sounds great so thats about ones own preference. This EQ is performing as it should, It is noted on line as a match for Series III and IV but my series VI sound great with it as well, and so do my series I! I will not need this EQ or Id keep it, so it is for sale now at a very good price. I would send this to DHS Speaker for his basic cap service if I were to keep it simply because of the age. He does great work. But again, this is working here and now so you may prefer to just plug and play. I cannot guarantee this item given the age hence a low price and terms it is sold as is as seen. This is perhaps for that more particular individual, its about as nice as youll find, and it has been rebuilt as seen by DHS speaker - basically a series II on steroids, please see the pics as they tell the story, so many upgraded capacitors, sonicap etc … far better than the original, which by the way lasted over 40 years before being services, so this is now better than ever for decades to come! Im downsizing so I cant keep it all. I would estimate this has about a hundred hours on it since it was serviced (new / better capacitors as you can see, some additional parts in the amp section to enhance the curve to where it belongs, shielding etc ... this is better than when it was new in terms of performance because they used better parts at DHS and it sounds absolutely fantastic). Cabinet is nice w/ minimal handling evidence - it is more of a traditional walnut color - the pics w/ flash color it some. This is a nice one.

This unit is working, all switches etc... both channels nice and clean, perfect for series I or II, I just listened to an hour of Frank Sinatra at The Sands and it sounded just great. I am a 901 owner myself (Series I and Series VI ver 2) and ran it on my own system. I got it as a back up and if I were to keep it I would have the caps redone just because of the age, but it is working right now. I opened it up and photographed the inside for anyone who would wish to be able to see that. This is listed as parts / not working because I cannot guarantee it and it is sold as is. These are not so often seen. I can tell you those Deer Creek replacements simply don't cut it so if you have 901's this is what you need to make them sing. DHS speaker on ebay services these and for a small amount they end up as good as new if not better. Cabinet w/ some dings discolorations and a little veneer peeled off in a few spots - not too much but just so you know

Available is this vintage Bose equalizer. This is the model 901 active equalizer for use with Bose 901 series 1 or series 2 speakers. UNTESTED. Powers on, all dials and switches move. Cosmetics are pretty good, as seen in the pictures. May work perfectly, or may need some repair. I do not have a set of 901s to test. As-Is… no returns please.
