I am offering for sale a very rare and highly sought Bauer/Lorenz cinema amplifier type VE20/3 equipped with two Telefunken RV258 power triodes. This amplifier has just been serviced and tested by me. Due to its age (over 70 years), a few pieces capacitors require replacement or regeneration. These capacitors have been temporarily replaced with new capacitors, and the old capacitors are left inside, in the chassis. The input stage is equipped with an input transformer and with two triodes Type KL70581/AD101. This amplifier has been adapted to listen to sound from audio sources. It was in originally prepared to work with a film projector. The amplifier functions absolutely flawlessly and provides an output power of 18-20 Watts, with a speaker system load with an impedance of 200 Ohms. Additional is installed a match transformer for optional use with low impedance speaker about 8/15 Ohm.There is no noise or humming typical of old amplifier devices manufactured before WW2. Possibility of a modification:Upon express request of the buyer who wins this action, in for a fee I can rebuild this amplifier from a Mono system - 2x RV 258 PP 18-20 Watt/ 200 Ohm, to a Stereo RV258 SE 2x 8 Watt/ 4/15Ohm system. In this case, the Push-Pull output transformer must be replaced with two separate Single-End transformers and the driver system must be rebuilt. Then both channels will be equipped with input transformers. Such a reconstruction could only be done after the auction has ended and after paying the auction price. During the amplifier service, I connected for a test 2 Siemens Single End transformers from the 50s and I tested the amplifier in RV258 SE circuit - The result was positive, and the measured output power in the Single End system was 8 Watts per channel.
