There was a little rust on the bottom plate and circular pillar, so I roughly hand-sanded them except for the top plates. The hand-sanded condition looked like wood grain, so it wasnt as bad as I thought, so I left them as is. The material of the main pillars are aluminum. To reinforce the vibration of the stands, you can fill the main pillars with sand or lead. As it is disassembled and packaged during shipping, assembly is required.
