These are a pair of Brown 1986 Floor Standing 601 Series III Direct Reflecting Speakers They from a dog friendly/smoke free home - so yes, there might be a few stray hairs on them Includes the new speaker wire and printed out instructions shown. They have some minor scuffs/scratches/signs of use - one speaker cover has a tear in it They both work and sound awesome. New open box / old scratch & dent B-stock from a local home theater installer. Tested and working perfectly. EXTREMELY high quality, with amazing engineering. You will be absolutely stunned at the resolution and imaging of this speaker, especially as a mid-sized center-channel speaker. These have the same drivers and measurements as the legendary NHT M5, which is arguably the best loudspeaker ever released by NHT. The same design perfection lives on to this day with their larger NHT M7 model at $600+ EACH. So yes, this is an absolute steal at around $300 delivered to your door. It features a custom made extruded aluminum enclosure with high quality powder coating. Nice and heavy, yet maintains a slim profile. Comes with pre-installed high-end OEM solid brass terminals. Like other ultra high-end NHT models, it features custom Peerless drivers from Denmark. Excellent like-new condition... but with one scratch on the back. The scratch will be out-of-view when sitting on a shelf or on top of a home theater cabinet. Does not include the original metal wall brackets. I recommend placing this speaker on a small shelf directly up against the wall or sitting over or under your TV or PC monitor sitting on your desk or atop your home theater cabinet. It is factory-tuned to be corner loaded right up against a wall for the best bass performance. If you are familiar with this era of NHT, you can consider this a hard crossover setting for boundary +1 which is non-defeatable. You can certainly place it further out into the room, but it will have a slightly sharper bass roll-off in that case. Please let me know if you have any questions.
