AMPTASTIC Mini-T Tripath TA2020 HIFI Audiophile Integrated Amplifier Silver Made in UK. Amptastic is a UK amplifier manufacturer. They are famous for their micro-sized T amps, based on the TA 2020 Chipset, and their amps are designed and assembled at their UK factory. This amp is rated at 20 watts per channel, and thats plenty to go loud. It is specced for the UK. This is a high-quality audiophile-grade integrated amplifier. It has one set of line-level RCA inputs and good-quality binding posts for loudspeaker cable, which can be used with banana plugs, spades or bare cables. A separate switch-mode power supply is included- a new upgraded low-noise Philips PSU, which replaced the original unit supplied. It also has the advantage of a detachable mains cable, IEC to UK fused 3-pin plug. This is also supplied, but being detachable means you can use a different mains cable if you wish to. Please see all pictures - the Amp is unmarked (the fascia photo just has a shadow across it). It has had very little use in a second system and sounds great. It doesnt get hot despite the tiny size. I purchased these this month - August 2023 via Audio Affair eBay shop (Hifi-Madness) after returning a pair of Ananda Stealth Edition which I did not enjoy. Having already owned a pair of Edition XS which I regrettably sold, it was an easy decision....
