I bought this from the estate of an audiophile. This PS Audio HCA-2 stereo power amplifier is in great condition and it sounds great. I let it run for 2 hours while I enjoyed it and it didnt even get warm. When I moved it and tilted on its side I could hear something heavy move inside, so I took the cover off and a very large coil inside the unit is not firmly affixed to the case (see photo). When I ship it I will unplug the coil and wrap it separately so it doesnt get damaged. Here is a 2003 review from Gary Krakow NBC News: PS Audio’s HCA-2: You may have read about this in some of the hi-fi specialty magazines. It is light in weight (35 pounds), but the unique, heavy-duty circuitry produces 150 beautiful sounding watts per channel and it never, ever breaks a sweat. It always remains cool to the touch on the outside. This is one of the most neutral sounding amps that I’ve ever auditioned; it produces bass that has to be heard to be believed. Audeze Deckard: audiophiler Kopfhörerverstärker mit Digital-Analog-Converter (Die Abb. 14 und 15 mit dem geöffneten Gerät stammen von Audeze, die übrigen Fotos zeigen den angebotenen Artikel. Der abgebildete Kopfhörer gehört nicht zum Angebot) Spezifikationen siehe unten Ich gestalte meinen Hörplatz um und trenne mich schweren Herzens von meinem geliebten Kopfhörerverstärker. Das stylische Gehäuse mit den markanten, seitlichen Kühlkörpern (ja, der Class-A-Verstärker wird recht warm) wurde von der Firma Designworks in Kalifornien, einer BMW-Tochter, entworfen. Das Gerät ist ungeheuer wertig; es macht geradezu Freude, am satt arbeitenden Lautstärkeregler zu drehen. Ich schätze, es war für Audeze einfach zu teuer, dieses feine Stück Technik auf Dauer zu produzieren, so dass man den Deckard heute nicht mehr neu kaufen kann. Dieser ungewöhnlich musikalische Verstärker verfügt über eine single-ended Class-A-Ausgangsstufe mit ausgezeichneten Dämpfungseigenschaften, die Kraft im Überfluss liefert und alle, auch sehr anspruchsvolle Kopfhörer antreibt; schließlich wurde sie für die leistungshungrigen planar-magnetischen Membranen der Audeze-LCD-Serie entwickelt. Darum sind mit diesem Verstärker stundenlange, absolut ermüdungsfreie Hörsitzungen möglich. Genau genommen bekommt man nie genug davon. Die interne DAC-Sektion basiert auf dem TI Burr Brown PCM5102A DAC Chip - und auch hier haben die Audeze-Ingenieure ganze Arbeit geleistet. Obwohl man den internen DAC abschalten und nur die analoge Sektion des Deckard verwenden kann, bin ich immer wieder zum digitalen Eingang zurückgekehrt: Eine Zeitlang habe ich einen Chord Qutest DAC angeschlossen, aber der Deckard-eigene DAC klingt einfach musikalischer. Auch ein Marantz HD-DAC1 ging nach der ersten Runde geschlagen vom Platz, als er gegen meinen Deckard antreten musste. Da der Deckard außer der 6.3mm-Kopfhörerbuchse auch einen analogen Cinch / RCA-Ausgang aufweist, können Sie ihn auch als Vorverstärker an Aktivlautsprecher oder einen Leistungsverstärker anschließen. Er verfügt allerdings über keine Fernbedienung. Als Privatverkäufer kann ich keine Sachmängelhaftung übernehmen; auch eine Rücknahme ist ausgeschlossen. Ich versichere jedoch nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen, dass das Gerät sich in hervorragendem Zustand befindet und mir auch keine versteckten Mängel bekannt sind.
