This is by far the highest quality sound system weve ever owned. It is a vintage Class A Yamaha 2-Piece Amplifier set from the mid 80s. The amount of functions to help modify the sound to your exact needs and preferences is insane! It was the top of the line at the time, and will still put todays gear to shame! All the components inside are top-notch. Even the audio ports on the back of the C-80 are gold plated. Yamaha really went above and beyond when designing this kit. The sound quality is absolutely amazing, and these bad boys can be pushed and deliver outstanding performance. Rich lows, clean highs. This is the kind of kit you will never need to upgrade. Esthetically, the C-80 is near mint, virtually flawless. The M-80 has the top left corner with some scuffs, as well as one near the back and on one side. The face of both are near mint (there may be some dust on the pictures, but we looked them over carefully, and no collector would be disappointed with the condition). Also included are both the user manuals as well as a store brochure of the product line. Shipping these will be quite expensive, with the M-80 alone weighing in at around 50 pounds. It will require a massive amount of packing material and a very large box to accommodate it. Both units will be sent in separate boxes, with full insurance coverage, which also adds quite a bit to the cost of shipping. Shipping is included in the price, but know were planning to spend roughly 500$ in shipping fees and insurance on our end to ensure a safe delivery. Please note that the M-80 does get quite hot and should be on top of the stack to allow proper ventilation, as on the pictures. This is not a flaw. I bought this from the estate of an audiophile. This PS Audio HCA-2 stereo power amplifier is in great condition and it sounds great. I let it run for 2 hours while I enjoyed it and it didnt even get warm. When I moved it and tilted on its side I could hear something heavy move inside, so I took the cover off and a very large coil inside the unit is not firmly affixed to the case (see photo). When I ship it I will unplug the coil and wrap it separately so it doesnt get damaged. Here is a 2003 review from Gary Krakow NBC News: PS Audio’s HCA-2: You may have read about this in some of the hi-fi specialty magazines. It is light in weight (35 pounds), but the unique, heavy-duty circuitry produces 150 beautiful sounding watts per channel and it never, ever breaks a sweat. It always remains cool to the touch on the outside. This is one of the most neutral sounding amps that I’ve ever auditioned; it produces bass that has to be heard to be believed.
