They aren’t scratches, more like scuffs that can only be seen at certain angles with the light. It works perfectly. I don’t know how many hours are on the tubes. I purchased locally approximately 6 months ago while my SP16 was awaiting repair. I love the sound, but I do want to return to a built in phono input. This preamp is line stage only. Balanced inputs and outputs are nice to have as well for those that can use them. I do not have remote, manual, or original box. I will include a power cable. I will pack carefully and ship quickly. I think you’ll be very happy - it’s a beautiful preamp with great sound. Check all the rave reviews online.
