For sale is my Audio Research SP20 tube preamplifier (note: I also have this amp listed on Audiogon where I typically can offer a better price). Originally sold brand new for $9000. Im selling to downgrade to a more compact (less separates) setup. I purchased this particular unit from The Music Room (tmraudio.com) in early 2022 (Feb 12th to be exact). I have used it in my primary 2 channel setup ever since. This preamp operates flawlessly and Ive never had a single issue with it since day 1. I installed brand new tubes purchased from The Tube Depot back in November 2023, but these newly installed tubes currently have ~ 179 hrs of use (see pics). Comes with original remote and manual. Ill ship in the same box I received it in (see pics) using original packing materials. Weight is around 30 pounds. Shipping will be a flat $70 via either UPS or FedEx. BTW, there is a really good review of this preamp on Stereophile which provides far more details than I could list here. The company has provided in the SP20 a level of performance of both phono and line stage that would cost almost twice as much to match with ARC separates, when the cost of interconnects is included.
