ARCAM FMJ AV-888. FMJ is Arcams top line. Very good condition functionally and cosmetically. 2nd owner, used for 4 years for stereo and home theater. Typical Arcam sound, which is an excellent ratio of clarity and smoothness. Worked extremely well for my 7.1 system, but moving up to 12 channels.Every function works perfectly EXCEPT the front panel push buttons. They all are frozen for some unknown reason, and Im not skilled enough to have taken it apart to try to diagnose, lubricate or do anything else. I never use front panel buttons on any of my gear anyway; always remotes/apps, and the Arcams works perfectly and is included. I have an electronic version of the manual. All input sources can be named as you like, and there is great flexibility in setting all parameters using its online menu. HDMI inputs/outputs, single-ended and balanced outputs and a huge number of inputs, outputs, triggers etc. Has digital bypass circuit, so analog sources can be listened to without digital processing.For a 5.1/7.1 system you cant do any better for under $1000; Ive tested a variety of other units - Marantz, Denon, Cary, Sony ES, etc. and Arcam was always my choice.
