I bought this unit with some others from the same era about 3 years ago. When I finally got around to checking it out, it wouldnt open the tape door with the Eject button. I havent been able to put a tape in it to test. The Multi Display will toggle with the mode button so I assume the internal computer is up and running. It wont play a tape without a tape in it - and I cant open the door. Could be a great candidate or restoration. I really wanted this one to work. It has DBX and Dolby options, awesome tape head, cool features. Very high end 80s. Look at photos carefully. Itll be a 16 lb. package at minimum. No gouging on shipping - promise. And I pack as if I was shipping it to myself.

I bought this unit with some others from the same era about 3 years ago. When I finally got around to checking it out, it wouldnt open the tape door with the Eject button. I havent been able to put a tape in it to test. The Multi Display will toggle with the mode button so I assume the internal computer is up and running. It wont play a tape without a tape in it - and I cant open the door. Could be a great candidate or restoration. I really wanted this one to work. It has DBX and Dolby options, awesome tape head, cool features. Very high end 80s. Look at photos carefully. Itll be a 16 lb. package at minimum. No gouging on shipping - promise. And I pack as if I was shipping it to myself.

I am listing a Sony Walkman Professional WM-D6C Cassette Player Recorder with an Amorphous Head. It’s fully functional. Sound is great. Recording works well and I have recorded 3 tapes using this machine. I replaced 2 belts and everything else is original. The machine includes the original leather case, Battery case. For sale is this great Technics RS-AZ7 High End Stereo Cassette Deck.I would class this deck as being in a good, used condition with a few marks, scuffs and scratches from wear and use. There is also, what looks like glue on the power button and a little to the right of the display. This could possibly be removed, but I havent attempted this. Please check out all the pictures (I have included loads from all angles with flash on and off) as these make up a large part of the description and show the condition well.Legendary deck from Technics, which sounds great and is in full working order. Only thing to note is that I believe there should be a green light inside the cassette compartment but if there should be, this isnt working, but guess would just need a new bulb. As with all vintage cassette decks, it would probably benefit from a good service (clean and potential belts) before regular use, so please bear this in mind but as stated, is fully working. The main features of the Sony TC-RX55 are: 2 heads, tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and metal tapes. Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well. Level meters used on the TC-RX55 are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the TC-RX55 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection. Dolby C-type used in the TC-RX55 provides 20 dB of noise reduction above about 1,000 Hz, fully doubling the amount given by B-type. The Dolby HX PRO system provides precise bias control during recording to reduce distortion and improve linearity in the high-frequency range, the result is recorded sound that is highly faithful to the original.
