This was purchased by the original homeowner and incorporated by the builder in the 1960s when the house was new. This ALTEC 803A, 802D, 811B, N-800-E, Complete Cabinet Speaker Configuration has been tested and sounds wonderful. The horn was painted an olive drab muting color for it to blend better into the physical environment in which it was incorporated. We checked on a small spot and found the paint will remove without too much difficulty. these were removed from a custom built (part of the house) here in Southern California (Rancho Palos Verdes Estates) overlooking the harbor of San Pedro, Long Beach.
