You are bidding on a pair of VINTAGE Allison Acoustics MINI-2P Powered Speakers in Good Working condition. These speakers feature a 4 long throw woofer and a 1 dome tweeter in a cast aluminum enclosure with a matte black enamel finish. The crossover is a full LC type operating at 2000 Hz. The built-in amplifier puts out 15 watts per channel with low-frequency equalization to extend its bass response. The controls & connections on the back of the amplifier speaker include: A & B Speaker Volume knobs, a High Filter / Bypass toggle Switch, (R) & (L) Input RCA jacks, remote speaker B Output connectors, Power ON/OFF switch and a 12 volt DC mini Jack receptacle. Note: The label on the back of speaker a states 220v AC 50 Hz but it is fitted with a US 110v Plug and work fine with 110v AC @ 60Hz. Condition (see pictures): These speakers are in good working condition. I connected them to my iPhone and they sounded very good. The grills are not original but they look good on the mini-2Ps. Look at the pictures and judge for yourself, these are in very nice shape. Just taken on trade. This is a rare device designed to be used with Allison speakers. It accentuates the bass to give the impression of deeper bass from his smaller speakers. He claimed it can be used w other brands as well. There are augmentation frequencies at 31, 41 and 45 hz. It has been thoroughly tested.

220-240 Volt versionNOT suitable for North America I bought this, not knowing it was for 220/240 Volt systems. It has a standard North American type plug and 220-240V is in very small print. It did not work right in my system so I replaced all of the old capacitors. Still not right so I took it to a professional technician who discovered the fact that this is designed for 220-240 Volts. So if you are a an audiophile who lives in a country where the mains are 220-240Volts, 50-60Hz, this may be for you. Designed for Allison speakers but also appropriate for virtually any Acoustic Suspension speakers that could use a little bass boost. According to Allison, The equalization curves provided in the ESW are unlike those obtainable from conventional tone controls or general-purpose equalizers. Equalization is carried down to 20 Hz. . . . Only closed-box systems have response that falls off at 12dB per octave below resonance, and so only they are correctly equalized by the ESW. And only closed-box systems maintain control of the woofer at very low frequencies.
