Vintage AKAI AM-A70 Stereo Integrated Amplifier Japan WORKS NEEDS REPAIRS READ Amplifier has been tested by myself personally, and has a couple of fatal flaws to its performance. Most notably, the volume control is significantly damaged, and will often times make a loud screeching sound when turning it up or down. Although I did manage to produce clean sound through all speaker outputs, I could not avoid frequent spikes in volume. The entire knob is not secure in its internal housing, and will move around in all directions when any external pressure is applied. Other than that, all functions appear to operate as they should. Every button feels rigid when pressed, and is appropriately responsive to its designated action. Cosmetically, the amplifier shows only some signs of age-related around the exterior. No formidable dents, scratches, or scuffs inflicted along any edge or face of the metal bonnet or front display. Unit does not include any remote control, manuals for operation, or packaging material from the manufacturer. Will be sold AS-IS described, and will not be eligible for returns whatsoever.
