Adcom GFP-555 II Vintage Stereo Pre-Amplifier, Serviced and re-capped Completely re-capped all electrolytic capacitors, including the big power supply caps. High end audio grade caps used. This is a classic Adcom preamp with a nice phono preamp and very nice overall performance. Op amp for phono section was upgraded and socket added for easy changes. Selling my complete Adcom stereo system. Sorry, it is sold as a set and I will not break it up. This consists of the GFT-555 tuner, GFP-555 preamp, and GFA-555 amp. It looks excellent, works like it should, and sounds wonderful. The preamp has 2 Phono inputs with one having a switch to be able to use an MC cartridge, and another switch to adjust the capacitance , 2 tape monitors, CD and AUX inputs. The amp is 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms or 325 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It can be bridged for MONO use too for I don’t know .....400 or 500 watts total output power? The tuner works well and picks up stations across the dial. See the video where I demo the tuner and an iPod i have on the CD input. Youll have to pardon the flashing in the video as, some sunlight was coming in through the blinds and hitting the camera lens. Message with questions. I can demo for the buyer. Local pickup near Grayslake or East Troy WI. Am willing to dive some to meet a buyer. For sale here are only the Amplifier, The preamp, and the Tuner.
