This is the walnut veneer base and metal top plate from an Acoustic Research AR XA turntable. Some marks and scratches and small dings on the wood base corners and the top plate has scratches and marks. Please refer to all pictures. Sold as parts. No returns.

All original AR turntable in original box. It’s a barn find with all parts included. Platter surface has lot of aging but the sides are in perfect condition. Motor runs fine and belt is in great condition. The only item to repair is the tone arm wiring needs to be reconnected which is series of fine wiring. I bought to connect the wiring but it’s bit more than my skill level. The main wood plinth is in great shape and original logo is still on. The cover is aged but no cracks or damages. Just make the wiring connection and ready to play. Will ship in its original box from AR.

This is a genuine original AR Acoustic Research Vintage XA Turntable Headshell, gray in color. Its a rare survivor, not a modern copy. As the photos show, its in remarkably good condition, considering that its more than 50 years old. This headshell should thread perfectly to the original tonearm of your AR model XA turntable (Im told it fits the XB model, too, but I cant guarantee it). The threads on the brass mounting holes are in excellent condition and not cross-threaded, so your cartridge mounting screws will go in and out easily if theyre not messed up. As you can see, the wiring and connectors are in good condition and havent been messed with. All-in-all, this is a rare survivor with nothing to detract. No cracks, repairs, or other ugliness.
