Accuphase Integrated Stereo Amplifier E-305 From Japan RareDescription This is a pre-main amplifier developed for the new era of audio, utilizing the separate amplifier development technology and materials cultivated over many years. It employs a full-fledged three-amp configuration consisting of an equalizer amplifier for analog discs, a high-gain preamplifier, and a power amplifier, each of which has been perfected to a high degree of perfection. The output stage of the power amplifier section is a 3-parallel push-pull with 6 transistors, with a Pc (collector loss) of 130W per element, for a total of 780W.This realizes low load drive that can deliver sufficient power even with low load impedance.MOS FETs are used in the front stage to drive the output stage.The input stage is a cascode type, which, combined with the constant-current load, achieves a wide bandwidth and high linearity.The differential amplifier circuit in the next stage is a complementary circuit composed of a single-chip dual transistor, providing low noise and excellent stability. All of the unit amplifiers from the analog disc input to each stage are directly connected.The problem of DC drift caused by direct connection is eliminated by stabilizing each unit amplifier with DC servo. To suppress interference between unit amplifiers caused by the power supply, electrostatic and electromagnetic induction, the preamplifier and power amplifier sections have independent transformer windings and dedicated power supplies to prevent interference around the power supply section.Furthermore, the preamplifier section is stabilized by a full-scale constant voltage circuit and improved to a level equivalent to that of an amplifier in an independent chassis.In addition, careful placement and shielding against electrostatic and electromagnetic induction are provided. The equalizer amplifier section uses a method of switching between MC and MM types according to the required gain.The input is configured with low noise, high gm FETs in a 3-parallel cascode bootstrapped differential circuit to provide a stable circuit with excellent S/N ratio directly connected to the input. Especially for MC cartridges with small input signals, the 3-parallel circuit reduces residual noise. To prevent signal degradation caused by switching and signal path routing, the input section has relays installed where switching is necessary, and these relays are electronically controlled by logic circuits.These relays are of a sealed type with crossbar twin silver-palladium gold-clad contacts. In addition to the eight input terminals, two balanced terminals are provided.A recording selector is also provided, which is independent of the input selector, allowing the user to record FM broadcasts while listening to CDs, for example.It also has a copy switch that allows independent dubbing between recording devices. Separate input/output terminals are provided to electrically separate the preamplifier and power amplifier, allowing them to be used as independent amplifiers.
