Accuphase E-550 Integrated Stereo Amplifier & T-100 FM/AM Stereo Tuner Description Accuphase Integrated Amplifier E-550 + Radio Tuner Specialized in pure audio products, the audio maker Accuphase is offering an integrated amplifier E-550 and the FM/AM stereo tuner T-100 for sale. The E-550 is Accuphases first Pure Class A pre-main amplifier which garnered significant attention for its excellent performance and audio quality. It is a full model change from the highly praised E-530 and was born as the flagship pre-main amplifier at that time. The T-100 is the first model of FM/AM tuner that was sold during the Ken Sonic era in 1973. Both of these items are rare finds that are not easily come by. Although I am an amateur in audio, the sound quality that passes through the E-550 is very clear and beautiful. Condition: (E-550) Overall, there are no noticeable scratches or dirt, and it appears to be in a very good condition. If I have to point out, there are two small scratches on the left side corner when viewed from the front. Please refer to the photos for detailed condition. Condition: (T-100) There are some minor scratches on the top surface, but considering its over 50 years old, it is in good condition. Please refer to the photos for a detailed condition. During the operational check, when the volume was raised to 4, the sound was already too loud, so I couldnt test it further. Operation check items: (T-100) - FM reception - AM reception Both FM and AM were received, but both had noise in the audio, and the reception level fluctuated only around 0.5 in signal strength. One of a kind T-107 European model that I have owned since 2002. It is in Pristine condition with nary a scratch or blemish anywhere. I am the second owner and I have documentation purchased from the original owner in Germany that will be included.It was completely updated and converted to US specs by Accutech in 2002, an authorized Accuphase repair facility in CA. The display is configured to show 5 digits for any FM station such as for example101.90, 101.95, and so on which is common in the European market. See the photos showing the 5 digit FM display.It comes with Accuphase specially ordered Rosewood side panels at a cost of $325.00 for this tuner as shown in the pictures that were never made available in the USA market. Rosewood side panels are no longer offered for any Accuphase product and the attached side pictures do not do it justice.Given that 22 years have passed, I recently sent the tuner 1 month ago to Miller Audio in PA to perform an FM alignment and fix the stereo light which stopped working. See the attached photo of the specs and work performed by Miller Audio. The unit has a new 3 volt lithium battery for the tuner memory and given a clean bill of health. You are essentially buying practically a New tuner from an audiophile coming from a non smoking, pet free, child free home who takes meticulous care of his gear. I have the owners manual, Accuphase color technical brochure and documentation in an Accuphase labeled folder that will be included.This tuner will be very carefully double boxed and shipped from either UPS or Fedex of your choosing.
