Pickering FA-104 Turntable from Plainview New York in the USA. Manufactured in the early 1960s A suspended subchassis turntable with many innovative features, it has a magnetically decoupled bearing and a unipivot tonearm, this one is fortunate to have a genuine Pickering DE5 stylus too. A magnet on the cue arc represents the tonearm stay. Bias is applied at the base of the tonearm pillar. I dont believe you will ever find an FA-104 in this condition or for that matter at all. It also has the elusive dust cover in good order although one hinge is missing. Motor and bearing are fresh and tight as they should be. The Pickering FA-104 was one of the the 1st commercially available suspended subchassis turntable that literally transformed the Hi-Fi world in a similar manner to the ARXA and early Thorens turntables, offering an independence from feedback that the likes of Garrard couldnt. This turntable has been lightly used and Id seriously doubt youd ever find better. This is a serious piece of Americana/Audiophilia, a beautiful marque to own and a wonderful conversation piece. It will be double boxed to protect. It sounds great, meaty powerful sound. Set up well as is but expect to do a set up after transit. Any questions please ask?

Pickering V15/AT-2 Cartridge w/ Used After-Market Stylus This listing is for one used Pickering V15/AT-2 cartridge. The cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter & the results are posted in two of the photos. The readings are equal / matched. The included stylus is a used after-market. It looks to be in fairly decent condition, with plenty of hours left. I do not if it is a conical or elliptical tip or what the tracking force is. Since the cartridge was “checked” with an Ohmmeter & this combination has been visually checked, there are NO returns or refunds. All of the cartridge/stylus combinations I sell are sold AS IS - in working condition. I do not offer ANY type of refund, exchange, or return on these cartridge/stylus combinations. If you have an issue with sibilance, it probably means that the cartridge/stylus is not a good match for your tonearm. Not that there is anything defective with this cartridge or stylus. Note: The cantilever (the thin silver tube which the stylus tip is mounted to) is the fragile part of the stylus assembly. The stylus needs to be handled carefully. If the buyer breaks or bends the cantilever when un-packaging, inserting the stylus assembly into the cartridge, or handling the cartridge once the stylus is mounted, I will not be held responsible. This includes while mounting the cartridge to your headshell. It is best to mount your cartridge somewhat loosely first. Then install the stylus. Once the stylus is mounted into the cartridge, adjust the cartridge for the correct overhang for your particular turntable. If you are unfamiliar or inexperienced with installing, mounting, & adjusting cartridges/styli, please have an experienced professional do the installation for you.
