Icon Audio CDX2 Valve CD Player. I bought this to match my Icon Audio valve amp as I wanted a cd player which didn’t have the harshness a lot of players have. The valve output stage gives a lovely full and detailed sound. It’s a joy to use with a smooth top loading mechanism and lovely metal remote control. It comes complete with all original packaging and is in excellent condition throughout. I can post or it can be collected.

Valve Audio Amplifier. This is a garage find. I confess, I know nothing about this piece, other than it appears to be an audio amplifier of some sort. As you can see from the photos, all the valves are in place, there is no visible sign of damage either breakage or burning, so this may work. I obviously can’t put any guarantees on that. Listed as ‘spares or repairs’ so a non returnable sale item. There is not a circuit diagram or any information found with this amplifier. My best guess would be that it’s a product from the late 1950’s or early 1960’s there is an octal plug on the end of an umbilical cable to connect to something, there is also an octal socket o the side, (I’m guessing) to either to a power source or speakers, maybe both? Please study the photos as this will give you more information about this than I can…..sorry. Feel free to ask any questions, I will do my best to answer them, although I’m seriously out of my depth here. I’m sure someone will know what this is. Good luck with this curiosity. The suggested price from eBay is £339! That was a surprise.
