I have been using myself - no issues and very happy with the sound even with default Chinese 12AU7 tube.But if you spend a bit and will buy 12AU7/ECC82 tube from Electro Harmonix, Mullard, Siemens, Brimar etc - you will be in heaven.Current item is wired to accept only one single tube model 12AU7/ECC82 (having 12v filament).And all other things are also calculated for 12AU7 only, like cascode / anode voltages / currents and there are no adjustment pots.Despite that this device accepts only one tube 12AU7/ECC82 - with this tube this device just shines and outperforms most competitors in 200 price range.Therefore do not expect to put ECC88/6922/6DJ6 for tube rolling - it will not work or even you can damage device.There are plenty in secondary market of 12AU7 / ECC82 tubes, so no need to look around for other tube models. Read forums where users reporting that heatsinks are hot - impossible to touch (~70 C) as all amplifier stages works in Class A therefore output MOSFETS generates heat. This is safe and normal for components as most of them are rated 105-150C. Current set includes amplifier with 1 tube (Chinese 12AU7), power adapter DC24V 1AMP. Adapder has EU plug.
