Vintage Akai AP-D33 Turntable, AM-U22 Amplifier, AT-K22L Tuner, CS-F9 Tape Deck. This beautiful retro classic is in excellent visual condition, as it’s been kept in a HiFi cabinet for many years, so no marks of scratches, cosmetically looks like new. Functionality testing results. All powers up and all lights work. Amplifier works fine, all lights working. Tuner works fine, finds all stations. Turntable works fine, just needs a new needle, but all works as expected. (Please note the lid is not with the unit, as it’s been inside a HiFi cabinet for years the lid was removed and had been misplaced.) Tape deck. When turned on makes a whirling noise, not sure what it is, fast forward works, rewind works, play does not work, so definitely needs someone with a bit of a technical mind to take a look, most likely just a belt that needs replacing. Akai CS-F9 Stereo Cassette Deck This Akai CS-F9 is a stereo cassette deck with Dolby B noise reduction, it was first sold by Akai in 1981 and discontinued a year later.The main features of the Akai CS-F9 are: 2 heads, mechanical 3 digit tape counter, manual tape type selection and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes, belt driven single-capstan transport.Typical front loading cassette deck with the cassette compartiment located on the left side of the deck. Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.Level meters used on the CS-F9 are generic digital peak reading meters. Full-logic transport controls used on the CS-F9 let it respond to the slightest finger contact for fast and effortless transport function selection.The Dolby-B system reduces tape hiss on tapes recorded on the CS-F9 by as much as 10 dB at the highest frequencies.
