Adding a short video... using a combination of California Audio flagship transport(soon to be listed) and YBA WD202- sounds fantastic! Hello. Cleaning out some equipment I have accumulated over the years and no longer use. Here is for sale is one true audiophile Hugh-End DAC made by YBA, a French High-End electronic company, model WD202 from their Design line of audio equipment. It has various digital inputs: AES/EBU, USB, Coaxial and optical TOSLink. It has one Digital Coaxial output, and two line level stereo outputs- one Balanced XLR and one RCA. I do NOT have a remote. You can operate by using front panel buttons- one for input selection, one for Power, and two (- and +) buttons for Volume control. This DAC can be a stand alone controller and be connected to the Amplifier the outputs will be variable, or you can use it in the system connecting it to your favorite preamplifier, the outputs will be fixed in this case. To switch from Variable to Fixed, there is a button on the remote. Headphone output is always variable and you can use those Volume buttons on the unit. As it happened, this unit is set for Fixed output,which works great in my case since I always using my preamp in between DAC and an Amp. This is the only useful function of that remote,since everything else you can access from the front buttons. So, once again, I do NOT have a remote. As you can see it is extremely clean unit. What you see on the pictures are specs of dust and some fingerprints.There are no scratches,dings or dents. On the front alongside the power button is a row of blue LEDs indicating the current source. To choose between the five sources (Optical [ Coaxial [ AES/EBU [ USB [ iPod), a push button is positioned nearby. An IR window and two controls for volume plus a headphone jack complete the front panel. If headphones are connected, the volume keys will modify the output volume of the headphones only, as the output of the XLR and RCA is automatically muted when headphones are detected. A remote control comes as standard with the DAC. The WD202 has DSD. Any source material being used which has been recorded with DSD encryption will be recognised by source selector changing from blue to green. This applies to all inputs. For Windows users it is necessary to download a driver. It can be downloaded to the download appears in the documentation area.. No download is necessary for MAC users. Everything works as it should.
