Up for sale is one Excellent condition Yamaha T-85 tuner. I have owned it since 1987. I bought it New Via Dealer Accommodation from Sound Tech Marketing. I was working at local electronics store in Albuquerque NM called West Coast Sound Systems. I worked all summer to buy this Yamaha tuner, the matching C-85 pre-amp and the M-85 Power Amp. The next summer I saved up and bought a set of Yamaha NS-1000x speakers. I left the system set up at my parents home while in college. My father purchased the equipment from me in the early 90s. My father did not want the tuner because it did not all fit in my parents furniture, so a kept it. I put it away and forgot that I had it for the longest time. Unfortunately my parents house was burglarized in the mid 90s. The C-85 and the M-85 were stolen. I still have the speakers and they are not for sale. I started using the T-85 again in 2010 occasionally until about a year ago. My technician looked at it recently and said that it is in good clean condition. It does hold the memory pre-sets. I cannot remember if and when the battery was changed. I would keep it but I have way too much equipment and I need to thin things out at the house. It is in really clean condition. Cross posted locally won’t last! Best Offer? Please read everything. The only reason I am doing for parts and repair is due to the fact that the pre-amplifier is not working. Amplifier was serviced at some point along with everything else. I just did my own general service and inspection. I have played the amplifier for multiple hours and it performs well. The tuner pulls in stations. But I’m sure it would not hurt to exercise the buttons a little bit more. I cleaned the controls on the preamp amplifier but the unit did not power up. The unit weighs 80 pounds so I believe with everything else it will be about 100 pounds. Everything will be properly shipped and packaged. Please allow some extra time for Safe packaging. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Condition of amplifier is very good. Condition of tuner is very good. There are some dings on the pre-amplifier.
