When new in the mid 70s, this component had an MSRP of $1200.00. Which is equivalent to approx, $6.600.00 today. The CT-7000 was Yamahas finest Tuner and considered by many to be one of the very best tuners ever made. Owned & purchased new by a Yamaha rep who used it sparingly at first, then stored it for decades along with other special components that he purchased during his career. Despite its age, it appears to be in excellent working condition. All dials & switches rotate and / or move smoothly as intended. It tunes-in all stations in my area by simply using a 3 wire connected to the 75 ohm connection on the back panel. All lights are currently operational. Please note, the Red Station light does not illuminate all of the time, I honestly dont know its intended function? Cosmetically its in almost perfect condition. I see only 2 spots which I feel personally are Not objectionable, but in all fairness should be noted. 1) on the top of the wood cabinet there is an impression, not a scratch approx. the size of a nickel see next to the last picture and 2) when looking Very closely on the very top aluminum edge of the face-plate, there are a few very tiny flea-bite size nicks thereabout, last picture. This is a hefty component and it will be very carefully packed in a large heavy duty box for shipping. Please note, if the ultimate winner / buyer of this listing resides outside of the continental U.S. the transaction will be cancelled.
