????PRODUCTS???? Please check the Photo Yamaha NS-10M PRO Bookshelf Speaker System The NS-10M PRO is an improved version of the iconic Tenmoni NS-10M that became a massive hit. The following maintenance has been carried out:Capacitor ReplacementWiring Replacement & Direct ConnectionBinding Post ReplacementWoofer Cone Painting & RepairCabinet Repainting The internal capacitors have been replaced (see the lower-left of the 9th photo). For the tweeter HPF, Vishay film capacitors MKT1813 (current model) and ParcAudio electrolytic capacitors are used in combination. For the woofer, ParcAudio electrolytic capacitors have been employed. The capacitance values are equivalent to the original ones. All internal wiring has been replaced. For the tweeter, JVC OFC speaker cables are used, and for the woofer, Zonotone SP-330Meister cables have been used. The crossover plate has been removed and direct wiring has been implemented, minimizing the signal path. Notably, the connections are solderless. The binding posts have been replaced with banana plug-compatible types (see the upper-right of the 9th photo). They are made of brass with a rhodium plating. The caps are large, black-painted, cartridge-type, ensuring a secure fit all the way to the plugs base. The woofer cone has been treated with dye to blur yellowing (see photos 6–8). It remains unbleached. Additionally, the center cap, which had become twisted due to moisture, has been reinforced with acid-free adhesive and repainted in enamel white. The cabinets top and bottom surfaces, where the paint had thinned, have been repainted (see the upper-left of the 9th photo). Other surfaces remain unpainted. Exterior Condition:The areas that were repainted show no fine scratches but do still have some deeper ones. How this is structured is the most difficult part of the tuning process and represents the pinnacle of craftsmanship in audio tuning.Myth of Film Capacitors:Many speaker repair specialists and websites believe that replacing capacitors with film capacitors improves sound quality, which I find quite surprising.While replacing all capacitors with film capacitors could result in a bright, piercing high end, the sound tends to become thin and lacks dynamic range, often leading to an unbalanced sound.For a rich, balanced sound, electrolytic capacitors are indispensable. Internal Wiring with MOGAMI:MOGAMI wire has been used internally to enhance the dynamic range, improving the transparency and reverberation of the sound.No matter how expensive or high-quality the speaker cable used, if the internal wiring between the speaker terminals and the units is not of high quality, it will degrade the sound quality.Unfortunately, many mass-produced speakers do not use the best quality internal wiring. Network Circuit Rebuild:In order to route the audio signal to its exit as quickly as possible, unnecessary network circuits have been bypassed and the network has been restructured. Edge Treatment:A special softening agent has been applied to the hardened edges to restore the large dome stroke.This treatment makes a huge difference in the delicate expression of the sound. Internal Sound Absorption Material:The glass wool used for internal sound absorption has been removed, which was previously filling the entire enclosure.As a result, the high frequencies are now clear and vibrant, and the low end has become tight with impressive power.
