This is the flagship Yamaha home theater receiver of the early 2000’s that was made and built to last with monster internal amps making this unit weigh 48.5 pounds. I purchased this receiver brand new and have had it in my home since in the cabinet pictured seldom using it other than for family movie night. I have the original owners manual and the unit is in beautiful aesthetic condition. When I replaced it a couple of months ago, it was exhibiting a problem where you press the power button, it clicks, but doesnt turn on. After doing some research online, it appears that the protective circuit is activating for some unknown reason. Perhaps it is a simple fix, but as a result, I’m pricing it accordingly to reflect this deficiency. Free local pickup.
