This is mainly for recording tapes. Its in great condition and plays tapes. I did not try to record a tape onto another. Please see the video as it shows the unit powered on and the tape moving. There is no sound as I believe it needs speakers. There is some marking and wear but the front face looks very good. Please see the pictures and video for condition detail.
