Here we have a Rare Silver Faced Yamaha K-65 Natural Sound Stereo Dual Cassette Deck This has been serviced with the following. Capacitors on the main power board and each deck have been replaced with original OEM ones. All other caps checked and tested. Cassette heads have been cleaned and aligned. PLEASE NOTE : This was done some 6 months ago along with belt changes. The only belt not changed was the one for the counter as it was a royal pain in the rear end, and for the life of me could not get it to stay on.So the only thing that does not work is the counter. Other than that it works and records well. The case, and it is how I got it, has been re-painted at some point as I am sure it was silver ish originally. But this is how I got it. Please see pictures as this does have the odd scratch here and there, but probably no where near as bad as it would have been originally. I used to have one of these and the top casing is so easily scuffed and scratched. Please see pictures for cosmetic condition Thank you for looking..... This is a 1992-vintage Yamaha Natural Sound Stereo Double Cassette Deck K-65 that is completely tested and is fully functional. This model had an MSRP of $249.99 in 1992, which is the equivalent of $562 in 2025. This model has two record/playback decks, Dolby B and C noise reduction, Dolby HX Pro, two-speed dubbing, and three auto-reverse functions. All of the functions work perfectly. Note: no remote is included with this. Dimensions: 17” W, 4.5” H, 10.2” D, 10.8 lbs. I am passionate about Yamaha stereo equipment. I take the time to test every single function of the cassette deck by connecting it to an integrated amplifier and listening with speakers and headphones. I check every single switch, knob and button to confirm that they work as intended. Doing this lets me listen to how the cassette deck functions and actually sounds. After the initial assessment, I thoroughly clean the outside and inside of the unit and clean every potentiometer and switch with CRC QD Electronic cleaner. This particular K-65 is in excellent shape cosmetically, as you can see from the photos. All of the displays and controls work as designed. It is hard to believe that it is roughly 33 years old! This unit is serial number Y895876ZP. This will be wrapped with plastic cling wrap and multiple layers of bubble wrap, before being placed into a sturdy box with appropriate packing material.
