Yamaha obtained an exclusive manufacturing license agreement with Dolby to create a series of active processors/decoders designed exclusively to break the encoded Dolby Pro Logic stereo signal used in movie theaters into five separate channels for home stereo applications unlike passive decoders. The 70PRO also has a Center Switch that customizes the channels receiving decoder signals. It can be used with integrated amps, power amps, or AV receivers. It is in good cosmetic condition, but does not include an owners manual. Whatever Receiver you use with 5-channel output is connected via RCA cables to the input. The surround decoder analyzes and provides decoded Dolby 5.1 surround sound to your amplifier via five similar RCA cables plus another for your subwoofer. This decoder is in excellent working and cosmetic condition, but I havent used it for several years. Enjoy!
