Yamaha cx-830 preamp. Unit was completely disassembled, cleaned, disinfected, all 120 something electrolytic capacitors were replaced/upgraded to new ones. A couple diodes and NPNs that were a bit out of spec where replaced as well and a couple film caps. The phono preamp on this thing is massive, better than a lot of stand alone phono preamps I’ve seen. Unit comes with both original remotes, original owners manual and printed service manual. The big remote is way cool, all the buttons on the left can learn literally anything from any other IR remote, I even had it working my fan and lights. Unit works flawlessly, zero issues, and a very noticeable improvement on sound after the restoration. It’s back to being completely transparent as any good pre should. This is a great opportunity to own a legendary high end all analog preamp that is basically brand new.

Yamaha CX-2 Preamplifier This has been in my system for years and is actually the 2nd one I have owned. It is a very good pre amp. I have compared it to many others over the years and you would be hard pressed to find anything new for under $1500.00 that sounded better. It is very detailed. It has a big sound stage, is very 3 dimensional, and creates great instrument separation. It does lean slightly to the warmer side of neutral. It works as it should. I have made a system upgrade to an integrated amplifier so I dont need it anymore. I dont have the remote, but my Xfinity remote programmed to control it just fine. You can also get a cloned remote for about $35.00. (Original remotes can be found for $65-$90 on eBay) There are some light scratches and marks. Please see the pictures. Yamaha CX-A5000 11.2 Channel Preamplifier Tested and working with 1 exception. *AV1 HDMI input does NOT work Unit has 6 additional HDMU inputs which do work. Unit is clean. It will ship with a remote and a power cord. The remote is not the stock remote for this particular AVR but it does work. There are 7 AV inputs and the remote only has AV 1-5. There are 3 audio inputs but only 2 on the remote.
