This is a 1978-vintage Yamaha Natural Sound AM/FM Stereo Tuner CT-410 II that is completely tested, serviced and fully functional. The original 1978 MSRP was $185, which is the equivalent of $889 in 2024. This was an entry level Yamaha tuner in 1978. It was meant to pair with a Yamaha CA-410 II integrated amplifier, but the styling and size also match very well with most other silver-face Yamaha integrated amplifiers from the mid/late 1970s. Dimensions: 17” W, 5.5” H, 13” D, 13.2 lbs.I am passionate about vintage Yamaha stereo equipment. I take the time to test every single function of the tuner by connecting it to an outside FM antenna and also connecting it to an integrated amplifier and speakers. Doing this lets me listen to how the tuner receives stations and actually sounds. I check every single switch, control and button to confirm that they work as intended.After the initial assessment, I thoroughly clean the outside and inside of the tuner and clean every potentiometer and switch with CRC QD Electronic cleaner. I have aligned the tuning pointer so that it accurately indicates what frequency you are tuned to.This particular CT-410 II is in very nice shape cosmetically, as you can see from the photos. Functionally, all of the LEDs, meters, bulbs and controls work as designed. It is hard to believe that it is roughly 46 years old! This CT-410 II is serial #03309. It will be wrapped with plastic cling wrap and multiple layers of bubble wrap, before being placed into a sturdy box with appropriate packing material.
