I bought this a few years ago to use in a Hi-Fi system as a CD player only; and hooked it up through the 1.5mm aux output into an integrated amplifier. The sound is amazing. I never hooked speakers up directly; or used the subwoofer, tuner, or optical outputs. I can only assume they are operational. All input buttons and information display work as designed. I ended up replacing it with a Yamaha CRX-TS20 in black, as it matches my system better. These little CD receivers are a very attractive, and well-built piece of equipment.
