Description: The Yamaha CA-1000 lII is a vintage high-fidelity stereo integrated amplifier that was released in Japan in 1976, during the “Golden Era” of Japanese high-fidelity audio equipment. It builds on its excellent predecessor, and like other Yamaha units from this wonderful period, the CA-1000 lII offers advanced circuit engineering and the use of high-quality components. In the power amplifier part, the CA-1000 IIl boasts a hardwired pure complimentary OCL circuit. The equalizer stage features Yamaha’s proprietary dual FET, while the output stage is a Class-A SEPP with transistors. A superb feature of this amp is the ability to switch between Class-B and Class-A operation, bringing you the best of both worlds for each type of circuit (output power vs. transparency and clarity). The amp has a beautiful vintage design, with a metal front panel and a wooden enclosure. The knobs turn smoothly, and the switches satisfyingly lock into place. If you’re looking for a nice vintage Japanese integrated amp (at a great price!), be sure to check out the Yamaha CA-1000 lII!
