Yamaha C-70 Stereo control Amplifier Preamp - high-end sound with direct phono. Ive had this unit for 25 years and Im selling this now with a few other components since my housing situation has changed and I have less space available. This Yamaha C-70 preamp has awesome sound, and all controls and lights work as expected, including the parametric tone controls, the MM/MC direct phono stage, and all inputs and outputs. This unit works well. I did notice that you do get some light scratchiness sometimes when adjusting the volume, but I think its minimal and it does not affect playback when you arent moving the volume control. There is a major cosmetic scratch on the top panel, and a few other chips/blemishes. See the picture of the top of the unit. This is cosmetic only - if you have this in a cabinet or a rack, you may not even see it when in use (depends on your setup of course). From my collection this extremely clean Yamaha C-70 Preamplifier with manual and original styro and box, I doubt you will find one in as clean condition, one owner, non smoke home,...stored for over 10 years in the box, it does work but due to lack of use the controls are very scratchy, volume and balance intermittent, will need to be checked over by a technician, may just need a bath in deoxit, I tested the C70 today with a cassette tape, selling as is parts or restore. study the pics as this is part of the description, ask questions if you need more info, I will double box so that the original box will be preserved.....I know how to wrap delicate items for safe transit. any ebayer with less than 10 feedback will need to contact me prior to buying..
